Junior Civitan’s finest deserve to be recognized! You and your club are probably eligible for one of our many competitive awards. Enter your district competition for the chance to compete on the international level!
If your club has successfully competed on the district level, you can access the Awards Booklet by contacting your district chair to enter the competition at the international level.
Honor Club and Honor Club of Distinction are noncompetitive awards which recognize clubs that excel in many areas. Applications are available in PDF and Word format. The Honor Club application is also a great planning tool — if you choose programs and projects that will guide you to Honor Club status, you’re sure to have a well-rounded, successful year!
Nominations must be received by June 1 at:

Benefits of Membership
It costs little to join Civitan. Each new member pays a one-time initiation fee of $15 (United States funds) to Civitan International. Some clubs and districts charge a small initiation fee, as well.
Active Civitans may attend club meetings; vote and hold office at the club, district, or international levels; take part in special events and community service projects; receive a subscription to Civitan Magazine; and enjoy all the other privileges of membership.
Dues are billed quarterly (every three months). These dues go toward membership resources, administration, and charitable Civitan projects at the club, district, and international level. International dues are only $18 per quarter. Clubs and districts may have their own membership dues, as well, which are billed at the same time.
Special Membership Statuses
For those in special circumstances, another different level of membership in Civitan may be appropriate. These statuses are described below.
Associate Membership: If you cannot join a local club at this time, but would like to support the mission of Civitan, click here for our associate membership brochure and application! Associate membership only costs $36 (US funds) a year.
Honorary member: A Civitan club can confer honorary membership on anyone who has distinguished himself or herself in a praiseworthy manner. An honorary member pays no dues and cannot vote or hold office, but may attend meetings.
Member-in-Military: This status is reserved for active members of the military fulfilling a required military obligation. A member-in-military pays no dues and cannot hold office, but has all other membership privileges. This status expires upon release from active duty. Career members of the armed forces are not eligible for this category.
Life member: Many clubs choose to confer life membership on an active member, in recognition for distinguished service. The club assumes all dues payments for life on that member’s behalf.
If you have any questions about Civitan membership, please call us at 1-800-CIVITAN, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will contact you shortly.
